A REAL BLAST

When I was 13 my family moved to Springville, Utah. I didn’t mind – in fact, I was looking forward to a fresh start: new neighborhood, new friends, new school. And the first day, everybody was really into the new guy! I definitely enjoyed the attention. I even lucked out and got assigned to an English class with all the cutest, most popular girls in the school. But the first week, during silent reading, I had to sneeze. So I did … only I sneezed and farted at the same time. Aargh! For the rest of the year everybody went “Achoo-pffffft!” when they saw me. It became my nickname! So much for a fresh start.

Robert Adamson plays the quiet, new kid at school on the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights. And just like his character, Robert was a bit of a shy guy in high school. To overcome his fear of public speaking, he made himself try out for school plays. It worked: He got the lead in every play his senior year. (And lucky for us, he kept right on acting!)
